The Panamericana Tannery was established in 2006 in León, Mexico, with the aim of achieving the highest quality standards. It is committed to operating according to environmentally friendly practices, so the leather it uses is a by-product of the meat industry, reducing the environmental footprint of both industries.
They are Clean Company certified by "Empresa Limpia", Ecotannery certified by the CICUR, Gold classified by the Leather Working Group and by the Leather Technology Centre, they have been audited and certified Silver by the Leather Working Group, their hides and tanning processes are guaranteed to be chrome free.
They use solar panels that produce both photovoltaic electricity and thermal energy to heat water. Also committed to Mexican society, they are helping to eliminate them in order to make Mexico a better place to live, supporting NGOs that help vulnerable women and people suffering from memory loss, diabetes or fybromialgia."
